• Lead the publicly announced migration of hundreds of millions of mailboxes and more than 500 PB of Yahoo Mail data to Google Cloud, transforming one of the largest consumer mail platforms while maintaining service continuity, on plan and on budget.
• Cut serious incidents (P1 and P2) 85% from 2018 to 2024, with P1 incidents falling from 19 to 3. Delivered a full year with zero Mail-responsible P1 incidents.
• Built and sustained a global Production Engineering organization with employee engagement among the highest at Yahoo, strengthening technical leadership, operational ownership, and engineering execution.
• Partnered across engineering, product, finance, and Google Cloud on migration strategy, demand planning, capacity, cost optimization, and execution of the multi-year cloud transformation.

Led Technical Operations for BlueJeans’ global cloud video collaboration platform. Responsible for Site Reliability Engineering, data center and cloud infrastructure, global network operations, automation, service delivery, and 24/7 operations.

• Built and scaled the global operations organization across the U.S. and India, supporting a rapidly growing worldwide video collaboration service.
• Led global network engineering, achieving greater than 99.999% reliability.
• Automated deployment and lifecycle management across infrastructure spanning thousands of servers, reducing deployment time by approximately 75%.
• Owned infrastructure capacity planning and COGS modeling across data center, network, compute, and cloud services.

Led Cloud Services and Technical Operations for WebEx, Jabber, and TelePresence, supporting real-time collaboration at global scale. Responsible for infrastructure, service engineering, 24/7 operations, service delivery, and platforms across data centers, network, compute, storage, and databases.

• Operated global infrastructure supporting peak loads of approximately 30,000 concurrent meetings and 150,000 participants.
• Migrated WebEx voice infrastructure from PSTN to VoIP and replaced third-party audio processing with an internally developed voice platform, reducing COGS by 80%.
• Migrated Linux services to OpenStack, beginning a broader transformation from legacy infrastructure to cloud-based platforms.
• Enabled public-sector business through FedRAMP and achieved ISO 9001 and SOC 2 compliance.
• Expanded WebEx into China through deployment of a complete service platform in partnership with a local telecom joint venture.

Led Technical Operations for a large-scale advertising and data platform serving approximately 40 million active PCs and delivering hundreds of millions of ads daily. Responsible for global infrastructure, data centers, network and application security, production platforms, operations, availability, deployment, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and technology strategy.

• Designed and implemented a multi-site architecture supporting five-nines availability across a high-volume, data-intensive platform.
• Built and operated infrastructure spanning thousands of Linux servers, large-scale Oracle and analytics platforms, and multiple data centers with diverse network connectivity.
• Designed and implemented a content distribution platform supporting high-volume delivery across the advertising network.

Led Operations for a SaaS-based infrastructure and application monitoring startup. Responsible for production infrastructure, 24/7 operations, security, corporate IT, professional services, and customer delivery.

• Built the IT and Operations organization from 0 to 40 employees in six months.
• Designed and operated the highly secure, redundant infrastructure supporting the hosted monitoring service, achieving 100% of SLA targets.
• Helped define the flagship product, delivery model, pricing, and roadmap, while supporting enterprise sales that closed the three largest customers representing more than 50% of company revenue.
• Helped build and scale the company through its 2002 acquisition by Red Hat; core NOCpulse technology became part of the Red Hat Network monitoring platform.

Led Product Operations for Excite, one of the world’s most heavily trafficked internet portals, with responsibility for production infrastructure, databases, platform operations, operations engineering, and 24/7 service operations.

• Operated 50+ consumer internet services, including search, email, messaging, community, and one of the Internet’s first personalized homepages, serving more than 150 million web pages per day.
• Maintained 99.98%+ service availability while supporting rapid product launches, often delivering new services weekly without increasing operations staffing.
• Built and led a 70-person organization spanning systems engineering, database operations, software engineering, and 24/7 operations.
• Designed multi-site infrastructure, load distribution, monitoring, management, and disaster recovery systems for thousands of servers before commercial tooling for these capabilities was widely available.
• Expanded Excite internationally, launching localized services across Europe and Asia through joint ventures and regional partners.
